How to connect Riverex by WalletConnect?

Adding Custom Tokens to Riverex: A Step-by-Step Guide

Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) let users trade cryptocurrencies and tokens directly from a digital wallet without relying on a central authority. However, not all tokens are supported by every DEX, making trading a bit more complex. If you’re holding an unsupported token, don’t worry – this guide will show you how to add your custom tokens to the Riverex platform.

So let’s get started!

Adding a Custom Token to Riverex (Web Version)

Step 1

Ensure that your digital wallet is connected to the Riverex platform.

*Note: The Riverex web version supports wallets like MetaMask, Coinbase, and WalletConnect, while the mobile version supports MetaMask and TrustWallet.

Step 2

Once the wallet is connected, choose a trading activity (P2P swap from the P2P category tab or P2P swap template on chat rooms, create a liquidity pool)

In this example, we will use the P2P swap. Since it is a custom token, it is not available in the Riverex default list. Search the token using its contract address.

The address of the token you wish to add to Riverex can be copied from the blockchain explorer or digital wallet.

Go to the Riverex P2P transaction template and click on the token dropdown menu. Paste the contract address on Riverex Token Search Bar and hit Import Token.

Step 3

Agree to the Import Token terms.

Note: Anyone can create fake tokens on any blockchain, even ones that pretend to be from real projects. Riverex doesn’t authenticate the token; it just gets information from the address provided. Before using and adding a token, it is recommended to research and confirm the correct address.

Step 4

The token is now successfully added to Riverex’s list of tokens along with the balance amount. You will now be able to swap the custom token on the platform.

Adding a custom token to Riverex through the mobile app copies the same guide from the web version.

Step 1

Ensure that your digital wallet is connected to the Riverex platform.

*Note: The Riverex web version supports wallets like MetaMask, Coinbase, and WalletConnect, while the mobile version supports MetaMask and TrustWallet.

Step 2

Choose a preferred transaction type: P2P swap (initiated on the P2P trading tab or P2P swap template on chat rooms) and Liquidity Pools (create a liquidity pool).

From the bottom of the page, create a new swap request from the Swap tab by clicking the plus (+) icon.

Step 4

After importing, you will now see the token from Riverex lists when you open a swap transaction and create a liquidity pool. While selecting the custom token, it further shows the available balance info from your wallet.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully added a custom token to Riverex. The token will now be accessed when doing a P2P transaction and creating a liquidity pool.

This opens up a world of new trading opportunities for you. You can now expand your portfolio and maximize your investments in Riverex DEX.

Happy trading!
